Rise souffles, rise!

Masterchef Junior is just a wonderful way to show the world how talented children are! I mean, they make all these delicious foods and technically challenging desserts. After watching every single episode, I had the urge to want to try out this fancy bold dessert!

Not gonna lie, I was definitely not confident in trying out this dessert. However, thanks to @Bigger Bolder Baking by Gemma Stafford, her simple clear instructions enabled me to gain more confidence in making this souffle. Thankfully, this process didn't take very long? It probably took 40 minutes to make the batter and another 15 minutes to bake it.

As you can probably imagine, waiting for a souffle to rise in the oven isn't the best thing. It feels as though time is passing slower than it should be. Out of the 15 minutes it took to bake, I probably sat in front of the oven for a good 10 minutes just staring to see if anything was going to happen and just silently praying for the souffle to RISE. "Rise please, just rise..."

Yep, that's me when I am waiting for something to bake. You honestly will never know how it will turn out until it's out of the oven. I guess you can say that that is the scariest part about baking. Oops!

Anyways, once the souffle came out of the oven, I immediately rushed to take a photo of it before it sank :(

While deciding what to write on my post, I was inspired by the idea of the souffle losing its beautiful consistency once it leaves the oven and how sometimes, we as people can be like that too!

That's what gave me the idea of how we as people may be so excited in the moment but not long after, we lose the feel or 'hype' and no longer put in the same amount of effort for the foreseeable future. Just like the souffle which rises in the oven and deflates once it is out of the oven.

It is a challenge that everyone will face. I guess all we can do it just trust in God to give us the strength to overcome those moments when we feel 'empty' and continuously encourage each other.

Wishing everyone a great week ahead:) GOD BLESS!!!!
