Just Dough it

It was during this time when I found out that bread making was not as complex as I thought it would be. The only issue I had was waiting for the bread to rise 😂
I always knew the basics to dough/bread making and that it required a lot of patience when waiting for the dough to rise. This was the only difference between bread and cakes that I found hard to get used to. I am a type of person that likes to do things fast and quickly. To be honest, it is not always good. Rushing can cause me to be careless and clumsy in what I am doing which is definitely a weakness that I have.
Making bread has helped me to calm down and not rush into making it. It has also helped me in appreciating the art of bread making and the whole process taken to make every single loaf of bread you find in your nearby bakeries!
The recipe I used was from Tasty, however, I did make some changes to it such as reducing the amount of salt used and added sugar into the yeast mixture.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups luke warm water
1 packet active dry yeast
600g flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
Baking bread has reminded me of how beautiful time is. By letting the dough rise and giving it time to bake through, it ensures the dough is light, fluffy, tasty and flavourful. There is so much that time can do.
Bringing us to the main point. Where did all this time come from? Who created time? God did. In the beginning, when God created the world, he created time. Time is so precious in His eyes. Time can also do wonders! In the bible, there is always reference to how long or short things take and how time can affect someone or a people. This helps me to remember that God has given us time and we should use it well and not waste this gift God has given us.
It can be hard at times especially since as humans, we might just want to do nothing and chill- which can be good at times:)) But maybe we can also try to use our time to do better things. Maybe encourage your friends? Bless someone? spend time with God?
There is so much everyone, including myself, can improve on when using our daily 24 hours for 7 days a week! Let's all try to use the time that God has given us productively for His will and way. It will be hard at times, but let's just DOUGH it!!!
Thank you for reading this weeks blog post! See you all soon:))
