2020 has been one crazy year. Though Bake to bless isn't an official home-based business, this year was a very fulfilling and exciting experience for me! From executing simple sales of red velvet cupcakes and brownies to bulk sales of cookies, custom cakes and finally ending the year with sponsored Christmas bake boxes!! This year was also the year of experimenting and finding ways to improve in different bakes. From creating a mini-blog, working with other food bloggers and sponsoring a range of desserts, I couldn't have asked for a better year. I thank my family and friends for supporting me on this journey and encouraging me along the way.
Most importantly, I thank God for everything he has done for me. Though there have been a series of ups and downs throughout the year, He has been faithful in teaching me about who He is through my bakes. Some of you may have realised how I share what God has taught me about life and Him through baking and my posts. This goes to show that God isn't separate from the world. He created the world which demonstrates and reveals His character and love for us. I still have a lot to learn and work on (I'm not perfect) from writing, baking and relating to people. Just a year ago, I wouldn't have thought that all of this would be possible. However, God has shown His faithfulness to me through so many different situations in which I am thankful. There will always be uncertainty ahead. No one knows what's going to happen tomorrow, let alone in 2021.
A famous quote by Martin king Luther says " You cannot keep birds from flying over your head. But you can keep them from building a nest in your hair." we can't change or control whats to happen in the future. But we can control how we respond and adapt to situations according to how God wants us to respond. We are all in this together. But more importantly, God is with us and is in complete control of what's to come.
2021 here we come!!!
